A country club celebration in a château on La Côte, where an elegant dinner gave way to a night of dancing.
the brief
The brief was simple and heartfelt: a birthday her husband would never forget. A beautiful moment around the table, a party that would last long into the night, and a place where every generation would feel at home.
She knew the feeling she wanted, but not yet the shape it should take, and she wanted to live the evening beside him rather than run it from the wings.
the concept
We came back with two concepts. The one that won her over was built around his love of sport: a country club, where athletic spirit meets timeless elegance. Crisp whites, manicured greens, and the easy chic of an afternoon that slips into evening.
White and green became our signature, guiding every choice from the first welcome to the last sip of the night.
the setting
We chose a château that already carried the grandeur of a great celebration, then designed the evening as a journey through it.
A first courtyard welcomed guests with a step-and-repeat for the first photos. The main courtyard, transformed beneath a majestic chestnut tree, hosted the apéritif. Dinner followed in the château’s hall, before the music took over a small adjoining room, where some danced while others lingered over a quiet drink between two songs.
the details
We designed a monogram from his initials and had it cast in wax, sealing each menu like a letter from the château.
Almost every flower was arranged by our own hands. Our floral atelier sits at the heart of how we work: when we know exactly the feeling we want to create, we prefer to shape it ourselves.
the experience
Maison D. orchestrated the celebration from start to finish: venue search, creative direction, monogram and stationery, floral design, styling, catering selection and coordination, cocktail bar concept, installation and on-site coordination.
One vision, from the first arrival to the last sip. She came as a guest to her own celebration, and the evening became one they still talk about.
