A Mediterranean-inspired summer gathering overlooking the vineyards of Lavaux.
the brief
The client wanted an intimate celebration surrounded by her closest friends and family. The setting needed to feel relaxed and effortless, with good food, cocktails and music at its heart — elegant, but never overly formal.
With complete creative freedom, we curated four locations and developed two distinct creative directions, allowing the client to choose the approach that best reflected her vision.
the concept
The starting point was simple: a long, generous table shared with the people you love.
Inspired by the spirit of a Mediterranean tavolata, we imagined an evening where food was shared, wine flowed freely and guests could move naturally through the different spaces of the venue.
The colours followed the golden hour — terracotta, apricot, fresh greens and warm natural tones — bringing the feeling of a summer holiday to the vineyards of Lavaux.
the setting
The venue offered exactly what we were looking for: an intimate setting with an exceptional view and the possibility to move through several spaces as the evening unfolded.
We used the venue from the entrance to the terrace, creating a journey rather than a single setting — from arrival and cocktails to dinner, then on to music and dancing later in the evening.
the details
Fresh fruit, seasonal flowers, natural materials and terracotta tones brought the table to life. Cushions added colour and comfort, while handwritten names on fresh vine leaves became a small, unexpected nod to the setting.
The menu itself became part of the experience, with generous shared dishes placed directly on the table — just as they might be at home.
the experience
Maison D. oversaw the celebration from beginning to end: concept development, location selection, creative direction, supplier sourcing, catering coordination and menu development, styling, entertainment, installation, production and on-site coordination.
We also created a visual thread running throughout the evening — from the welcome signage and menus to the cocktail bar and DJ area.
The result was an evening designed to feel effortless for the guests, with every element considered behind the scenes so they could simply arrive, connect and enjoy.
